Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not allowed. This includes day visitors.

Can I smoke on the property?
This is a smoke free property. No smoking is allowed in the cottage or on the grounds of the property (this includes, but is not limited to, tobacco, cannabis and vape products).

How many people will the cottage sleep?
The two-bedroom + loft cottage sleeps 6 (1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, 2 x Twin) which is the maximum number of overnight guests. Please note that the sleeping loft (twin beds) is more suitable for children with its slightly shorter than normal entry door. No parties or events are permitted. Max. number of occupants is 6, including day guests, unless prearranged with host in advance.

Is there a low noise period?
The City of Kawartha Lakes has a noise by-law. In addition, the cottage is in an area of private cottages and homes. Please respect our neighbours and the local laws by keeping noise to a minimum and follow the low noise time of 10 pm to 7 am.

Is parking available?
Parking is available for up to three cars (or two cars and one boat trailer). Secure bike storage is available.

How do I book the cottage?
All bookings are done on a first come first serve basis. Email or call the owners to request a rental time and contract. Once the deposit is received and the rental contract is signed, your rental is secured.

When and how do I make payment?
A $500.00 deposit is required to secure the booking and will be considered a security deposit (see below for more information). Final payment is due 30 days prior to the beginning of the rental period. If the rental is booked less than 30 days from the start of the rental period, the full payment is due at time of booking. Payment can be made by e-transfer. Owners will supply e-transfer account details.

Is there a security deposit?
A $500.00 security and cleaning deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit will be returned to the renter if the property is left in the condition in which it was found (clean and no damage other than normal wear).

What happens if I need to cancel?
Full refunds will be provided if a cancellation request is received in writing 60 days prior to the rental date. If the cancellation is received less than 60 days prior to the rental, a $150 cancellation fee will be charged and withheld from the refund amount if applicable. Please refer to the rental contract for cancellations received less than 60 days prior to the rental date.
